Oh Happy Thanksgiving Day
I checked myself today and I was like "Fie on all. I am going to have some fun, and screw all those scholarship apps. Let's just chill." Shame on me. My blog has become my scholarship essays archive. Still...I could not resist the feeling of productiveness, and at about eight o'clock this evening, I gave my Campbell another look and made revisions as i deemed necessary(as I was 100 words over the 500 word limit and I would not sacrifice any of my sentences yesterday). Special thanks to Rachael who gave me a very beneficial critique of my essay and to Roxanna, Mandy, Tiffany, and Stephanie who I bugged into reading my essay and telling me their impressions. Even half a thanks(haha, I have to spare my thanks) to Kyle for his comment. Yes, ambitions are not unrealistic, if and only if they are backed up by honest effort to see it happen.
Ok. that's it. My computer is determined to be an ass. Little do I type two phrases and it freezes. In fact, it just froze while I was typing this line. How much ram could typing take?
Well today i watch the Polar Express, and did a ton of home Christmas decorations with my mother. It looks so festive. It's Thanksgiving, but it feels like Christmas was the highlight of the day. Funny, how Americanized we have become yet still so Chinese. I never had Santa when I was little :( and no Christmas trees either, until i was like 7. Then we got a huge Christmas tree and we decorated it with all sorts of things: my barettes, toys, too much ribbon, etc. On the very top was neither a star or an angel but a pretty red bow. The tree looked kind of funny but certainly unique.
I was very surprised by how many people I saw at the theater today. It was packed, and we came during the afternoon(to get the cheap price)! People were actually fighting to get seats. I didn't realize so many people went to the movies on Thanksgiving day. And they were all Christmas movies...
I slept till 2pm today. Sheesh. I wish we had a whole extra week off school. I could sleep until my natural waking hour at 2 pm and not be deprived by 8 hours by having to wake at 6am. Plus no more homework and no tests to worry about every week!!! Yipppeeee. Hey gotto go. Get some Frankenstein read(that Young Frankenstein movie is plain weird but hilarious too and pointless).
