A Fire Pit in my Throat

My throat feels dry as dry ice. I keep coughing. This is terrible. I can't sing as well, and it hurts.

I don't get math. Damn that I had been such a slacker and didn't do my homework for so many days in a row. It's killing me. And I shouldn't sleep in class, but I can't help that it is the most boring subject in the world. Anyways I can risk a bad quiz grade as I do have a 99.5% in there. (Sorry I am pretty arrogant and it makes me feel better when i brag to myself, and to others...). But Mr. Harley is such a darling, cute teacher. You know he came to eat at the restaurant a few days ago with his wife. He was all dressed up a nice suit. It was so cute.

But I am very happy that I finally have an A in English!!! A 90 point something but an A nevertheless. AT last, maybe I will not get my first B yet. But I don't care so much about second semester. I could deal with some B's then. But colleges still care a lot about 1st semester grades and just a bit about 2nd semester grades.

I hung up on a telemarketer today. I feel bad, because I felt bad to tell him I wasn't interested in his offer, but then I led him on so long that pretty soon I had a deal and he asked for my credit card number, and then I was like WHAT?? Oh no what have I got myself into. So I told him I needed to find my credit card and left him hanging on the phone for 5 minutes before hanging up. I am so evil. I feel terrible. Usually I go straight to the point and tell them I am not interested, but this one was especially crafty. He said all I needed to do was answer some survey questions and get some magazines sent to me for free for a few months and get my name entered into a drawing for $100,000. I was thinking, Sweet this might be a chance to get some college funds. But somehow..somehow, he managed to find some niche that meant I had to pay something or another. Damn, I am never going to be tricked by a telemarketer again.

I had to talk to Mr. Caldwell for permission for the ABC show and at first he said No. I argued my point, and he still seemed unbending except that he knows me and the kind of serious student with grand ambitions person that I am, and he probably figured I wasn't going to just blow off some school days unless this meant it a lot to me. And it does. Prayers that I will make it in and won't be kicked off the first show or two.

Well I must bugger off now. I have a business plan to write and AXA scholarship to handle. I am so excited for my dad's enterprise!! He has been talking to Sam's Club about it too, and they directed him to talk to Wal Mart. We will make the call tomorow while driving to Columbus. I wasted half an hour today right after school picking out an outfit for tomorow's interview, but now I am proud of my selections..ANd then I cleaned the garage while rollerblading and rollerbladed some afterwards. I need to get in excellent physical shape, master some trivia, read books on problem-solving and challenging missions, and be an ultra nerd! Yippers for me.
